So, next year it's the big move, heading off to college. I'm kind of excited and pretty nervous about not being with the same people I've been with for the past four years. I'm also a bit worried because it will be a lot more work and organisation on my part. It's a much bigger school than St Ben's so I really hope that I don't get lost too much!
On the other hand, I'm really excited because there are going to be so many more opportunities such as, sports, hobbies and meeting new people.
I am going to miss St Ben's a lot, I'll really miss all of the teachers, my friends who aren't going to the same college and all of the fun traditions; School Camps, Big Day Out, School Picnic, Swimming Sports, Carols, Retreats and all of the house group activities. However, I won't miss having tiny corridors and Cross Country
So, what is your favourite St Ben's tradition?
This is my blog about Term 4! Stay tuned to listen to tales of school, friends and events!

Speech
Speeches are one of the things I dread the most.Today I presented mine to the class! I was really nervous and when I stood up my hands were shaking. I did my speech on The Internet, I spoke about Facebook, Twitter, Miniclip, Youtiube and Google. One thing that I was really happy with was that I was able to memorise my entire speech and present it without any cue cards. However, I was a bit disapointed because I spoke a little bit too fast and wasn't within the time target that had been set for us. So, thats whats been going on in my world this week. My question for you is, what do you dread the most???

My Hobby
I love playing tennis. It's so much fun. Every Thursday I have practice at the courts where I brush up on my shots and practice serving and volleying. Then on Sunday mornings I play a game. We play a set of six games, the first person to win seven games takes all. I love the satisfying "thwunk" when you hit an ace or return a ball with a cross court backhand. The best feeling in the world is shaking hands with the opposition after you've won the game.
So, my question for you this week is........whats the best feeling in the world for you?

Athletics
Yesterday we had Northen Zone athletics at Newtown Park! The top athletes from our school went to compete against all of the other schools in our zone. I was entered in the Quoits event. It was so nervous as I lined up for my go. In the end I didn't manage to get a placing but I was proud of how I threw. After my event I helped measure peoples long jump scores. I had a really fun time and it was a lot more fun than normal school work!

Week 2
Yay! I finally got my blog up and running!
This week at school we've started our new timetable system. Basically we get a set of tasks at the start of the week and by Friday they all have to be completed. It's really fun especially when I can work with my friends. This week in maths we've been learning about measurement which is one area that I'm not that great at. So, it's really good that I get to brush up on it before college. Another thing in maths, is our new basic facts coaching to get everyone achieving 100 before the end of term. We're also starting to work on our speeches for the competition in Week 5. I'm doing mine on The Internet.
So all in all, it's been a pretty good week with lots to keep me occupied.
